Office Chair Parts

Arms

The arms of the chair support the arm and shoulder of the person while sitting on the chair. We can adjust the height of the arm as per our requirements. Its material is steel which bears a load.

There are 3 types of arms.

Arm Pads

Arm pads are the cushions on the arm to give smooth support to the arm. When a person sits on a chair, these pads give support. These are soft and made of foam. It improves the aesthetics of the chair.

Chair Base

It is a steel structure with a minimum of 5 wings. Its function is to give stability to the chair. It is large in diameter to maintain the stability of the chair.

The materials of the base are steel, aluminum, and polypropylene. It holds the caster on the extreme edge of the wings.

Casters

Casters are the rollers that help to rotate the chair. It is an assembly of the wheel, fork, and frame. When we sit on the chair, the caster helps to move the chair from one place to another with less effort.

Headrest

The headrest is an extra arrangement on the chairs to support our heads while sitting on the chair. It is smooth and in aesthetically good shape.

Backrest

Footring

A footring is a circular metallic ring connected to the base at a certain height. Its function is to give support to our feet.

Chair Mechanism

Its function is to adjust the chair as per your comfort. It has two levers to adjust the position. With the lever one, we adjust the backrest to move or fix it.

With another lever, we can operate the pneumatic cylinder to adjust the chair height.

Pneumatic Cylinder

Its function is to adjust the upward and downward motion of the chair. Due to this cylinder, we can get a comfortable position while sitting.

Spindle

It is attached to the pneumatic cylinder.

Swivel

It helps the chair to rotate at 360 degrees.

Cylinder Cover

It protects the cylinder from dust particles entering the pneumatic cylinder. Plastic is the most common material for the cover.
